Following the success of our pop up portrait studio at Oxford Real Farming Conference in January, we dug out tents, donned wellies, and joined the Groundswell Regenerative Agriculture Festival this June. The three day event is a thriving forum for farmer-to-farmer knowledge exchange, about teaming up with nature to transform our food system.
With photographer Louis Little and a prop pile including strawbales, soil and sheep, we captured the folk farming regeneratively to nourish people and planet. Scroll through the gallery below to meet them.
The grassroots stories gathered through these pop ups are growing into a national campaign launching in 2024. We Feed The UK will use photography and poetry to sow a fresh story, in which regenerative farmers are celebrated as custodians of British biocultural diversity. Wildflower whisperers, carbon capturers, insect allies, these are the people working with nature to nurture the resilient, just and plentiful food system that we all need to thrive.
