COLLABORATORS

We Feed The World could not have been created alone; it is an emergent expression of the contribution, talent, and vision of its parts.

As an international organisation, a key principle of The Gaia Foundation’s work, from the Amazon to the Arctic, has been ‘affectionate alliances’, a term we learnt from the Indigenous leader Ailton Krenak in Brazil. We Feed The World is no exception, and we are grateful to all of the farmers, fishers, photographers and poets for the affectionate alliances that you have embarked upon with us.

Affectionate alliances extend beyond the human, too. Gaia’s enduring hope, in all we do, is to catalyse greater compassion for our entire earth community. Our gratitude goes not only to the clovers, courgettes, and cows who star in this exhibition, but to the diverse ecosystems which held all of us while collaborating on this project. None of our efforts would have borne fruit without Earth’s authorship.
